Miss Jemma - Principal
Jemma started dancing at the age of 3 at Amanda Restell Academy of Dance in Essex. She trained in ballet, tap, modern and commercial and completed many exams throughout her training. At the age of 18 she went on to complete a foundation year in Musical Theatre with Evolution college in Essex. Recently she has continued this passion for Musical Theatre as she has performed in amateur performances with SODS (Southend Operatic Dramatic Society) in their productions of Scrooge! The musical and Sound of Music.
She began teaching as an assistant teacher at the age of 16 and then decided to start her qualifications with the IDTA. With the IDTA Jemma has completed her Level 4 Diploma in Ballet, her Level 3 Diploma in Modern Jazz and her Associate in Freestyle dance. She is currently working towards her Level 4 diploma in Tap. Jemma has experience teaching many disciplines of dance including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Commercial, Musical Theatre and Acro. She has choreographed for many shows, exams and competitions.
Jemma is also a qualified primary school teacher and has taught in the UK and internationally.
After working with other dance schools she decided to start her own classes and keep sharing her passion and knowledge, to help inspire the next generation of dancers!

Miss Katie - Teacher
Katie began her dance and Musical Theatre journey at Woodmancote village hall at the age of 3 so what a full circle moment for her to be back where it all began. She trained in all styles of dance gaining certificates all the way through to Advanced 1 ISTD before heading into some professional training.
Katie is now triple threat Musical Theatre Performer recently stepping out of the principal role of Lloyd Webbers ‘CATS’ playing ‘Bombalurina’ and is super excited for her next journey within the industry. She studied at one of the top universities in the country, Performers College, where she received a first class degree as well as her DDE teaching qualification. After graduating in 2024 she secured agency representation and went on to play the titular role of ‘Cinderella’ in ‘Cinderella’ on tour. Shortly after this contract, she secured her position in ‘CATS’ taking her to many places all over the world performing in the iconic musical with choreography by Gillian Lynn.
Katie has a vast technical background, beginning in ballet, modern and jazz at the Janet Marshall Dance Studios in Cheltenham where she completed all exams. She now uses her technique in many international auditions, castings and opportunities and is excited to share her experiences with upcoming talent in younger generations and inspire them into the world of musical theatre whilst creating a fun an engaging environment.

Miss Sasha - Teacher
Sasha has always known she wanted to teach and work with children and young people, inspiring and nurturing their love of dance.
She has completed ISTD Ballet, Modern, and Tap examinations up to vocational level and continues to develop her training. Sasha holds her DDE in Modern and Tap and is currently working towards her DDE in Ballet as part of her ongoing professional development. She has also achieved her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 qualification and has undertaken aerial training through specialised workshops, further broadening her skill set.
Alongside her dance teaching experience, Sasha has worked in nurseries and primary schools and holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education. Within school settings, she has supported students as a teaching partner, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and is passionate about helping every child achieve and celebrate their milestones.
With over 10 years of experience assisting and teaching dance across a range of dance and performing arts schools, Sasha brings both dedication and enthusiasm to her work. She is excited to meet everyone, share her passion for dance, and become part of the AJAD team.
